九年的歲月，可以在人的身上，留下多少痕跡？皺紋、白髮，還是念念不忘的情人？

假若相隔多年之後，遇見了你心底的那個人，你會想要對他說什麼呢？

茱莉蝶兒和伊森霍克演活Before Sunrise裡的主角，讓人留下深刻的印象，這九年之間也和導演討論過續集的構思，因而加入了不少他們的想法，更加豐富了Before Sunset的內容。

在片中，九年後的伊森將相遇的一夜寫做一本書，變成一個故事流傳著，希望藉此找到當初與他有約，卻未赴約的女子。

為書而舉辦的巡迴講座一站接著一站，直到終點站---巴黎，也是這女子的家鄉，眼看即將結束座談，再過沒多久就要搭飛機回美國時，卻瞥見書中那朝思暮想的人兒，出現了。

彷彿又回到九年前，兩人繼續走著、 聊著，談著這段期間的變化，他結了婚，她仍是單身；解開了女方為何不能赴約的原因，卻依舊化不開男方深深的遺憾。

從咖啡館到坐船遊河，再走到女生家中，伊森坐了下來，聽著茱莉蝶兒自彈自唱的這首：

聽完了這首有著自己名字（Jesse）的歌，伊森像個撒嬌的男孩，想要再聽茱莉唱，但她不肯，說好了只唱一首的她，倒願意為他煮杯熱茶。

在等待水燒開的時候，伊森又放起了音樂，只看見茱莉模仿女明星的姿態，嘟著嘴輕輕搖擺著臀部，淡淡地對他說：


你要錯過那班飛機囉～

說來慚愧，Before Sunrise 和Before Sunset上映的當時，我都沒能到戲院觀賞，不過日後在電視上看到，感動依舊回繞在我心裡。
